Perfect Pussy, Ex-Breathers, the Areolas - Will's Pub - Orlando Weekly
So, yeah, the name. It’s simultaneously everything and nothing, right? A bold and provocative name that dares you to snicker at it, but one that gives you exactly no clue as to how completely and deeply this band will destroy you. Helmed by ex-Shoppers vocalist Meredith Graves, this Syracuse-based quartet released the blistering I Have Lost All Desire For Feeling EP via their Bandcamp page in late 2013, and subsequently lit up a corner of the Internet that had apparently been breathlessly awaiting a fiery – if willfully smudged – squall of righteous and cathartic punk rock steeped in distortion and emotion. There are no song titles to guide you along, no clear lyrics, but somehow the intensity and energy of Graves’ hard-to-parse attack is crystalline in its coalescence with the band’s hardcore assault. It’s an out-of-focus blur of rage and retribution; a high-voltage flailing that ultimately sounds like some sort of personal last stand. And it’s absolutely amazing. – Jason Ferguson

An indie punk band from Gainesville, Fla., Dikembe has proven admirably consistent in their excellent output, meaning it’s a surefire sign when you see them billed that the show is bound to be a good one. Last year, they released Chicago Bowls, which included four songs named for classic NBA stars from the Bulls’ past, dankened by weed references (like “Scottie Spliffen”), even though their band name recalls a former Rocket/Knick/Nugget/ basically every franchise but the Bulls. In addition to Bowls, the boys joined bands like Look Mexico and Pet Symmetry on splits and released a previously unheard early track for inclusion on a benefit comp. Basically, they’ve been busy, and their polished, angsty punk riffs are all the better for the constant activity. Bonus, if you buy tickets to this show, you get a discount on the next Norse Korea event, featuring post-hardcore band Old Gray. – Ashley Belanger
